Team management

#Setup

Dashboard → Team management.

1. Define team ranks – e.g. Supporter → Moderator → Admin – and sort them with the arrows (top = highest rank). Each person has exactly one rank.
2. Optionally choose a channel for announcements and adjust the texts for promotion and demotion (with preview).
3. Optionally set up absences (channel, approval, absence role) and the team list (channel).

#Promote and demote

• /teamrank promote member:@Lena – one rank up (or new to the team).
• /teamrank demote member:@Lena – one rank down, /teamrank remove takes away all team ranks.
• With rank: you jump directly to a specific rank, with reason: the reason appears in the announcement.

Hierarchy protection: anyone who isn’t an admin can only change people below their own rank and promote at most to below their own rank. Nobody changes their own rank.

Placeholders for the announcement: {user.mention}, {user.name}, {rank} (new rank), {old} (previous), {by} (who), {reason}.

#Absences

• /away until:20.10. reason:Vacation – also with a duration like until:3d or until:2w, at most 180 days.
• If approval is on, the request appears in the absence channel with Approve/Reject – a higher rank or an admin decides (also in the dashboard).
• During the absence, the person can get a role (e.g. “🌴 Away”). It’s removed automatically at the end; /back ends it earlier.

#Team list

The chosen channel holds a message with the whole team, sorted by rank (🌴 = away). It updates itself as soon as a rank changes or someone is away.

#Team warnings

/teamwarn new member:@Max reason:… warns a team member – separately from the regular member warnings, only by higher ranks or admins. /teamwarn history shows the list; warnings can be lifted in the dashboard.
