FAQ

Permissions, role order, dashboard access, costs and privacy – answered briefly.

The bot doesn’t respond

Check whether ZoneBuddy can Send Messages and Embed Links in the channel. Use /info to see whether the bot is online.

Roles aren’t assigned

Discord only lets a bot assign roles below its own role. Server Settings → Roles → drag the ZoneBuddy role up.

Who can access the dashboard?

Anyone with “Manage Server” or Administrator can change everything. With a bot master role (Dashboard → Team), moderators can view and moderate. Everyone else sees their own profile.

Can ZoneBuddy speak English?

Yes. Each server chooses its language under Settings → Bot language or with /language – all replies, buttons and cards follow it. Discord shows command names in the language of your Discord client; German and English names both work. The dashboard and website have their own language switch.

What does ZoneBuddy cost?

The basic features are free. What ZoneBuddy Plus and Pro add is described under Plans & AI points.

What data does ZoneBuddy store?

Only what the features need (e.g. XP, coins, settings, mod cases). Chats are not recorded. Only what someone deliberately submits or creates is stored – such as form answers, suggestions or a ticket transcript if the team creates one. Details in the Privacy Policy.

Where do I change the bot’s name and appearance?

In the dashboard under Bot personalization: nickname and embed color for all servers, a custom avatar and bio, and a custom bot with its own name with ZoneBuddy Plus or Pro.
